Concept2 takes great pride in supporting our customers from the Model E all the way back to the Model A. This means that we continue to sell spare parts for older models and provide support to keep equipment running and out of landfills. Our goal is to promote and encourage the growth of rowing. Often, refurbished indoor rowers allow individuals who do not want to buy a new indoor rower enjoy the sport. We thought we would share one great story (of many we’ve received) of a neglected erg that found a new home. Better Ways to Carry and Store Oars at Regattas

At the 2014 Head Of The Charles Regatta, we introduced a simple new oar carrier that holds four sweep oars or two pair of sculls. Made of Baltic Birch Plywood, six carriers can be cut from a single 5’ x 5’ piece. You can access the plans to build your own, or—as of early December—you can purchase carriers directly from Concept2 for $25 each. Meet Ultra-Rower Darlene Brennan

We'd like you to meet Darlene Brennan. You may recognize that name if you have done any Concept2 team challenges, because quite often, she is at the top of the challenge standings board, rowing for the ANCIENTS team. Since 2008, she has taken part in eighteen team challenges where she ranked #1 on the individual standings eight times. In four of the eighteen challenges, she easily completed more than one million meters and in eight, she completed more than two million meters. She also set 2 new world records recently for lightweight 70-79 women—one for rowing a million meters in thirteen days and the other for rowing 100,000 meters in just under 12 hours.
